Beauty, Passion and Perfection are the key values that define Carla Fuentes – a professional makeup artist who takes pride in creating timeless beauty that inspires and captures the heart.
Carla’s rise to the top of the beauty world, however, wasn’t exactly a direct shot. She had a very weird start to her career as she was pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree which was not related to either fashion or beauty, at Aklan State University in the Philippines. It was basically her involvement with the school’s extra-curricular activities that paved way for her to design costumes and gowns for her peers. In order to complete the look, she combined her fashion design skills with her make-up artistry. Fueled by this interest, she joined Hair and Make-up contest and brought home the 1st Place Trophy. She was also a recipient of Extra Curricular Distinction Award from the said university.
Her passion and aptitude for fashion and beauty have been clearly apparent her entire life and so, she chased her dreams overseas. Never formally trained at a traditional beauty school or retail counter, Carla learned almost everything she knows about painting picture-perfect faces on her job as fashion designer in Dubai, UAE. By combining fashion design with hair and make-up artistry together, Carla is able to perfect the look she creates for the maximum satisfaction of her clients.
With precise application and attention to details, her make-up talent quickly got recognized not only by individuals but also by the modeling industry, events, advertising and production agencies where she became the firms’ favorite make-up artist and worked on some Arabic music videos, television series and famous magazine editorials. With all prestigious portfolios under her sleeves, it’s no wonder that after several years as a fashion designer cum professional make-up artist, Carla Fuentes earned her stripes working with some royal princesses, diplomats and a lot of influential personalities. She has had the pleasure of recently working with famous beauty queens like the newly crowned Ms. Earth 2019, Nellys Pimentel from Puerto Rico, Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray, Miss Universe 2010 4th Runner-up Venus Raj and Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2019, Emma Tiglao. Carla has also become the favorite among Philippines famous celebrities like Maymay Entrata, Lovi Poe, Sarah Lahbati, Richard Gutierrez, Alden Richards, Ian Veneracion, James Wright, Edward Barbers and a lot more.
Carla is a versatile artist who was self-trained with sartorial flair for modern meets vintage and a penchant for old Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn films, inspire her beauty creations. Her style has been described as “natural glamour” – bringing out the natural beauty of her subject while adding a touch of glamour for that special occasion. And although the sanguine makeup guru has worked with not just regular women, but also celebrities and models, she continues to hone her craft and strives to bring a new level of satisfaction to every client she works with.

4. Mau Piodena

I moved to Dubai after a heartbreak and worked first at an e-commerce company as a return merchandise officer. I then moved to Etisalat as business analyst for a year and a half and got hired for another company as Logistics officer for 2 years and a half while I was doing part time as a make up artist for wedding prenup and some editorial shoots. It had been a busy year for me as I had to go to my admin work for a week and make up gigs every weekends. Things got overwhelming and I finally decided to pursue make up full time. I then got an invitation for a test look at Namshi on the first day I went unemployed and luckily got selected. From then on, I got projects for designers, magazines, music videos, celebrities, weddings, fashion events, e-commerce and even to some royal personalities. As a trainer back in the Philippines, it is in my blood to teach and be a source of knowledge and information. I then got myself teaching at the Filipino Institute every Friday as part of my commitment in giving back to the community and then got myself certified as Make up artist and make up trainer under KHDA and International Association of Trainers Society Paris France.

Fresh dewy skin make up giving their faces a blooming finish with soft smokey eyes to get them a party-ready look. I use great skin preparation techniques to bring out natural moisture that would help me give that glowy look.
5. Meena
I am Tehmina Riaz from Pakistan but I am popularly known as Meena in my work circle. I am mother of two pretty girls and have enjoyed the early years of motherhood being with them 24X7. From the past year, I have embarked on make-up and hairstyling as a full-time career. My life in Dubai for more than eight years has given me a chance to witness and explore emerging make-up trends, and I have personally enjoyed working on creative looks.
