Sneak Peek: Award-Winning Interiors of Amazonico, Madrid’s Celebrity Hotspot Set to Open In Dubai

This November, prepare to be transported to an enchanting Amazonian forest as Madrid’s much-anticipated celebrity hotspot arrives in Dubai.

A rich culinary experience is complemented by the venue’s stellar interiors, courtesy of Spain-born award-winning interior designer, Lázaro Rosa-Violán, who takes cues from Latin American heritage. Nestled in the heart of DIFC in Dubai, the three-storey space is transformed into a wilderness paradise to take each guest on a journey along the Amazon river.  As you enter, you are welcomed into a striking Bar & Lounge with an impressive mural of fish, moving upward to a markable restaurant area, completed with a story telling rooftop terrace.

Designed with keeping every minute detail in mind, Amazonico, a space filled with details and charm, welcomes guests for an immersive experience that takes them back to the sprawling rainforest, Andean peaks and golden shores of the northern coast. Ceilings are draped with lush rainforest-inspired foliages and suspended palms, and the rooftop features a space in which the drawing of the pavement with pieces of "Portuguese road" plays a fundamental role, which coexists with awnings full of colour on its perimeter, reminiscent of a walk along a Brazilian beach.

A spiral stairway and larger-than-life palm tree sculpture forms the central core of the venue and continues across all three floors. Always seeking continuity between spaces and inspired by the flow of the river, the terraces are filled with roof vegetation giving rise to an extension between the interior and exterior.

Tropical inspired elements such as the tones of the furniture, ceiling, the water sculpture and chimney are seen acquiring their own character, here in Dubai and amalgamate the final design.

A painter, traveler and designer, Lázaro takes inspiration from his roots and surroundings; his cultural background allows him to mix, modify and reinterpret past and present trends for each new project.

"My philosophy has always been based on accessible design. The experience should be greater than the space and for everyone to participate in".

With Chef Sandro Silva and Marta Seco heading the kitchen, Amazonico promises an unparalleled gastronomic venture, complete with its exquisite ambience and hospitable team - the perfect balance between professionalism, warmth and genuine care.

Amazonico is located in Gate Village, Pavillon DIFC and is set to open in November 2019.
