Dining out in time of pandemic can be scary, with almost six months of staying at home and cooking food, it could also be exhausting.
Our team visited Fogo de Chao restaurant right after the national sterilization program of Dubai was lifted to see how restaurants are coping up with the new rules set by the government for hospitality establishments. We entered the restaurant in the middle of the day for lunch, obviously, the people were less and everyone's table are far from each other. Our temperatures were checked upon entering the place and we were seated at a comfortable corner of the restaurant by a dedicated service assistant. Usually, the setup is buffet, where we are free to choose and get delights from their salad bar. This is still the practice, however, now, someone will assist you to get your food from the bar, you just have to tell them which one would you like to have and they will get it for you - safe and hygienic.
We were all excited for the steaks, the house specialty. We were treated with an array of different grills from several beef cuts, chicken and veal. They will serve the steak the same way like before pandemic (chef will cut the steaks fresh from the grills in front of you), we even forgot the pandemic for a bit just by smelling the aroma of flavors from each meats. The cooking of meats were all incredible and on-point. Definitely a flavor that we missed all these months in the lockdown. Everyone is very attentive to our requests and made us feel safe and special at the same time.
Fogo de Chao is definitely a place to unwind with friends and families, or even treat to impress a client. Th food and service will definitely do the trick.
